Third, you'll need a cartridge- or tape-based storage device in the event your data becomes corrupt or damaged. A storage device allows you to store data to a disk or tape that can be kept off site and will ensure that you can recover your data if on-site equipment is damaged.
Finally, you need to implement and follow a backup policy. And for extra security, consider contracting a service that uses the Internet to transfer daily data feeds to backup facilities off site.
